Akin to the Baroque, Romantic, and 20th-century repertoire, Gabriele Leporatti’s pianism is distinguished by a deep exploration of sound, meticulous attention to detail, and an expressive elegance that translates into performances of great intensity.
Actively performing throughout Europe, the US and China, Gabriele appeared at many prestigious venues including London’s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, NDR Hannover, Shanghai ’s He Luting Hall and in festivals such as the Settimane Musicali di Ascona, the Festival de Torroella de Montgrí, the International Keyboard Institute & Festival New York, the Tbilisi Piano Fest; 2016 marks his debut with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales under the baton of Thomas Søndergård.
Several of his performances have been broadcasted on radio and television including BBC, BR Klassik, WDR 3, NPO, SRF 2 and Rai 3; Gabriele is also a keen chamber musician, collaborating with a variety of renowned soloists and ensembles worldwide.

In 2015 he founds Etera Classics, a label with a distinct authorial connotation for which he records his commercial albums and in 2021 he launches Etera Thesan - its publishing division dedicated to promoting young artists - promptly earning a nomination for the prestigious German Opus Klassik "Young Artist of the Year" Award in 2023 with its first production.
Leporatti’s eclectic discography encompasses both solo and chamber repertoire, including works by Scarlatti, Schubert, Brahms, Schumann, Ravel, and Respighi, among others. In 2025, his new album will be released, dedicated to two giants of the 20th century: Ferruccio Busoni and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Currently on faculty at the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Dusseldorf, he regularly gives masterclasses and lectures worldwide, with several of his students being prize winners at international piano competitions and performing at top venues in Europe and abroad. Additionally, Leporatti is involved in the artistic direction of concert series and festivals and serves as a jury member for international piano competitions.
Born in Pistoia, Italy, Gabriele Leporatti studied with Fabio Bidini, Maria Tipo and Joaquín Achúcarro.
